Educate Your Customers and Let Them Reward Your Bottom Line
by Luke Dubay
Putting information online about your website is the perfect way to educate your customers about the products/services that your business offers. Educating customers also filters out people who wouldn't fit with your business. There are many ways you can educate customers with your website.
More and more people search for information online, in fact a study conducted found that 61 billion searches were conducted in August 2007. Odds are that people are searching for the products/services that you have to offer. Why wouldn't you have information online for people that are searching? You should. Your competitors are.
Educating your customers about what you have to offer cuts down on the amount of work you have to do to qualify a customer. Saving time by having the customer qualify themselves is a great strategy. Having information that filters out customers that do not fit your qualifications can go to a competitor.
There are many ways you can position information on your website so the customer is more informed about you and what you have to offer:
- Have an FAQ page
- Place your services in bullet points
- On the home page, make it obvious what you do
- Have a quick contact form (similar to Midwest Web Design)
- Email current clients about current offers
- Write articles about how you can help customers
- Have testimonials on your website
This is just a starting point of the ways you can educate your customers with a website. Educating potential customers creates a win-win situation between you and your customers, each side knows what to expect and both parties can begin to move forward to getting what they want.
